About Doctor Tijerino

Born in Managua, Nicaragua, in 1970, Dr. Tijerino’s family fled the country because of civil war and persecution. Finding a new life in Northern Virginia when he was 11 years old, he grew up near the national capital in Washington, D.C. In 1991, the family related to Florida, where Dr. Tijerino completed his studies. Graduating with honors in the top 10% of his class at the University of Florida, he has been in private practice for 20 years.

He believes in constant improvement, currently possessing more than 1,000 high-level continuing education credits. His accomplishments include a wealth of post-doctoral studies, awards, certificates, memberships, and teaching experience. Ask our office for the full list.

Today, Dr. Tijerino enjoys cultivating relationships with his patients, travel, cooking, running, and golfing. He lives with his life partner Dr. Juliana Navarro, who is a dentist for the Veterans Administration hospital. Currently, he plans to continue providing stress-free dentistry in South Florida.
